According to Warc.com, Some 15% of American adults have used online dating sites and/or mobile dating apps, with the fastest growth coming at opposite ends of the age spectrum, raising interesting possibilities for digital marketers. They express according to data from Pew Research Center, based on a national sample of 2,001 adults, not only are more people now turning to this method of finding a partner but more are doing so via mobile apps.
Over a two-year period there was a 4 point increase in the proportion of Americans using dating sites or apps, from 11% to 15%.
And while the proportion using an online dating site had risen from 9% to 12%, the percentage using a mobile app had tripled, from 3% to 9%.

Since then, that rate has almost tripled. College-aged and post-college-aged Americans are now the most likely demographic to turn to the technology. As it happens, the only group which has taken to online dating at a rate like very young adults have been older adults. Middle-aged Americans, 55 to 64, are now twice as likely to try looking for someone online since 2013. The technology also gained some users among 45-to-54-year-olds.

Well, Betanews.com reports Apple’s App Store generated 75 percent more revenue than Google Play in 2015, but the latter is now responsible for 100 percent more downloads, according to a new report on the state of the app ecosystem in 2015 by App Annie. Both numbers are higher compared to the previous year. App Store has increased its revenue lead to 75 percent from 70 percent in 2014, while Google Play saw its downloads lead rise from 60 percent in the same year. The most important markets were, in Apple’s case, China, US and Japan, while for Google the drivers were Brazil, India, Indonesia and Mexico.
